Examples of reflexive expressions with daily routine

The verbs "å kle på seg" "å kle av seg" and "å legge seg" are all reflexive.
Norwegian has many more reflexive verbs than English. Here is an example of an
English reflexive verb: I dress myself, you dress yourself, he dresses himself,
she dresses herself, we dress ourselves, they dress themselves. Notice how the
reflexive form has to change depending on who the subject is. Norwegian is
the same way. Look at these examples

Jeg kler på meg.

I get dressed. (dress myself)

Du kler på deg.

You get dressed.

Han kler på seg.

He gets dressed.

Hun kler på seg.

She gets dressed.

Vi kler på oss.

We get dressed.

Dere kler på dere.

You all get dressed.

De kler på seg.

They get dressed.

Notice that for this verb, the reflexive is optional in English. The reflexive is never optional in Norwegian. If the verb is reflexive, you must use the correct reflexive with the verb. The above pattern is used for all reflexive verbs. Notice that "seg" is used for all third person subjects.
