Marte Hult is a native of Oslo, Norway, who grew up in the United States. Private, individual instruction or tutoring in the Norwegian language is available in person for $20/ hour for those in the Minneapolis / St. Paul metropolitan area. The language taught is standard bokmål, as spoken in Oslo.

Instead of private in-person instruction, you may choose to study Norwegian with Norwegian for Novices, an online language course. Norwegian for Novices is a complete beginning Norwegian language course, in twelve chapters. The text includes hundreds of interactive exercises and sound files, reading and writing practice, and an easy-to-follow story line intended for American students.
